People often define themselves by what they do and what they don’t do. They have roles and activities, and in some of these they may be functioning better than others. As an occupational therapist, I focus on what’s important to you – these roles and activities. For example, I focus on how you are doing with day to day activities: making meals, sleeping, working, socializing, and doing hobbies. I help you by finding factors impacting your life while considering your personal abilities and environment. I will help you connect the dots, through counselling and self-management strategies. The outcome is you engaging in what is important to you to improve your wellness and enjoy this beautiful, bumpy life.
